Introducing our first Treefort Parents!

Hello from the Rankin family!

This quirky quartet found its beginnings at Huntington University, from which Ted and Becca both received their bachelor’s degrees; Ted in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry and Becca in Psychology.

They were married in 2013 and a year later adopted an adorable dog named Sienna. She quickly overtook their couch, pillows, blankets, and hearts as she has never met a stranger. On January 9, 2016 their family grew one larger with the birth of their beautiful daughter Kairi Lynn (pronounced Ky-ree) who is now on the brink of perfecting the crawl and exploring anything and everything.

As a family they love going on walks, playing games, serving at their church and enjoying a good TV show or movie. Ted particularly enjoys all things Lego, Marvel, and video games as well as Biblical Exegesis, Theology, philosophical thoughts…and pudding. Becca can make a mean pipe cleaner figurine, color with the best of them, prides herself in baking the best cookies around, and loves the theatre, basketball, and potatoes of all varieties.

Ted and Becca feel a special excitement and draw towards Treefort because it uniquely enables them to minister by simply living life. Ted has experienced firsthand the life changing impact that a couple, who is committed to having a healthy, God-honoring home, can have on a young boy. Becca has a strong passion for giving children a stable, healthy childhood that will enable them to grow into the best form of themselves, but more than anything she loves being a mom.

Treefort is the perfect opportunity for Ted and Becca to not only fulfill their individual and mutual desires, but also be the hands and feet of Christ in a real and intimate way.

Please be in prayer for Treefort and the Rankins as we begin the next months of training and transition in preparation for them to join Treefort full-time later this year.
